Mac OS: Disable The MobileMe Menu Icon
I’m sure Apple’s $99/year MobileMe syncing service is great and all, but I’m pretty much allergic to any icon in my menu bar I didn’t put there myself (especially those trying to sell me stuff). My screen real estate is limited, mind you – so how do you get rid of that sucker?
The answer is easy enough, just press command (⌘) while drag&dropping it off the menu bar and it’ll poof to death. You can command-drag & drop pretty much all Mac OS-icons in the menu bar (volume, bluetooth, wi-fi, battery indicator, you name it) if you’d like to re-order them.
